Where the prices come from
Every deal listed on HalfPrice AU is built from promotional information that Coles and Woolworths publish themselves — their weekly specials catalogues and the special-price listings on their own websites. We do not receive a data feed from either retailer, and neither retailer supplies, checks or approves anything published here.
How current it is
Both supermarkets change their specials on a Wednesday, and our list is rebuilt to match. Between refreshes, a product can sell out, be withdrawn from the promotion, or have its price corrected, and our page will not reflect that until the next update. A deal shown here should be treated as "this was on special when we last checked", not as a live price.
Prices vary
Australian supermarket pricing is not uniform. The same product can differ between states, between metropolitan and regional stores, and between the online range and what is on the shelf in front of you. Some promotions apply only to online orders, some only in store, and some require a loyalty card to be scanned. We list the headline half price promotion; we cannot account for every local variation.
Always confirm the price before you buy. Each deal page links directly to the retailer's own listing for that product. That page, or the shelf label in the store, is the authoritative price — not this site.
What "half price" means here
We list products the retailer has promoted as half price, or where the advertised special price is approximately 50% of the advertised regular price. The regular price is the retailer's own stated "was" price. We do not independently verify how long a product sold at that regular price before the promotion started, and we do not adjust for rounding — a $5.49 item reduced to $2.75 is listed as half price even though the arithmetic is not exact.
No commercial relationship
We are not affiliated with Coles Group Limited or Woolworths Group Limited. We do not earn a commission on purchases, we are not paid to feature particular products, and no retailer or brand has any influence over what appears in our lists or in what order. The site is funded by advertising displayed alongside the content, which is independent of the deals themselves.
