Do I need the app?
No. This website works on a phone and shows exactly the same deals, and it always will — nothing here is held back to push you to install something. The app is simply faster to open repeatedly, and it remembers your favourites between visits.
If you check the specials once a fortnight, the website is fine. If you find yourself checking whether something is on special while you are already in the supermarket, the app is the better tool for that.
